Skin Care Treatments & Facial Add-Ons
Microneedling is a medical-grade, state-of-the-art precision medical device only available through medical professionals. By producing controlled fractionated micro-channels, this procedure increases the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin through the body’s natural healing response. Microneedling is a quick, safe, and effective treatment advantageous for correcting photo-aging, scarring, and stretch-marks that is better than PRP or Vampire Facials. In just 4-6 treatments, you can see amazing results of younger, silkier skin without needing to set aside downtime. Resume your schedule with your lustrous results immediately after your treatment! More and more people are choosing microneedling as their treatment of choice to revitalize their skin. Ask our team about this exciting non-surgical anti-aging solution during your consultation!
Chemical Peel – Estetika believes in the remedial power of chemical peels that has been practiced for hundreds of years. Treatments are safely and intrinsically selected for specific skin issues, including fine lines, sun damage, acne, blemishes, age spots, skin tone correction and more. Chemical Peels are also an excellent treatment to freshen up prematurely aging skin. As we age, the process of cell turnover lengthens, leaving our skin to look dull. Chemical Peels stimulate cell turnover, allowing the skin to return to its radiantly glowing, natural state. Chemical peels are innovative, non-invasive anti-aging solutions that have helped many people achieve instant results of youthful, lustrous skin. We offer specialized chemical peels from renowned skin care experts including:
- TCA Peels for treating more intense skin impurities for powerful revitalization
- ZO Skin Health Chemical Peels including the 3 Step Stimulator and Stimulator Peel
- Jessner’s Peel is a no downtime self-neutralizing peel that reduces the appearance of acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and gives the skin a smooth, youthful glow
Dermaplaning – One of the most gentle treatments out there, dermaplaning utilizes a scalpel to softly exfoliate the surface of the skin. A member of our team carefully glides the scalpel over the designated area, removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz from the surface of the skin for a silkier finish. Dermaplaning is a one-of-a-kind treatment that doesn’t involve needles or incisions, unlike other cosmetic procedures. If you are looking for a key to smoothen your skin, dermaplaning can open new doors for you.
High-Frequency Facial – A highly versatile treatment, the high-frequency facial is an advanced solution to help erase acne, reduce pore size, fade age lines, decongest puffy eyes, restore balance to your skin tone, and revitalize hair follicles for healthy hair growth. High-frequency facials work by toning the skin through gentle thermal heating from electrical currents. These electrical currents infuse the skin with oxygen molecules to provide a plethora of benefits.
We include dermaplaning and High-Frequency with all of our custom facials for medical grade results that will last significantly longer than any ordinary facial. Not only will you feel great, but you’ll look great, too!
Depending on the severity of the issue and the patient’s availability, downtime varies.
Skin Care Q & A
Q: What causes acne?
A: There are many causes of acne. The most common as of late are an allergic reaction to types of food, dairy being at the top of the list. Another reason is that there is an imbalance of hormones, which are regulated internally. Both of these issues should be addressed with a Dermatologist and a Medical Aesthetician to get you on the right skincare-outwordly, and get you on the right (internal) regulators if needed. An additional reason for acne is improper skin care. If you are producing excess sebum or oil, you may not be cleansing or hydrating your skin properly. Your skin will produce excess oil if you are not giving it the water and moisturization that it needs. Also, if you are not cleansing properly, you are not getting all of the dirt, oil, and debris out of your skin on a regular basis. This will cause clogged pores, which will equal blackheads and whiteheads.
Q: Why is my skin Oily?
A: We are predisposed to the size of pores that we have. Individuals with larger pores generally produce more oil. Larger pores are hereditary, and a genetic predisposition. But, there are also other factors, as well. Most patients who produce a lot of oil think that they do not need a moisturizer because their skin is greasy enough. However, that could not be further from the truth. Oil free lotions are able to add water, and not oil, balancing out the overcompensation of oil in the skin. Your skin will produce more oil, if it is not getting the water, hydration, and moisturization that it needs.
Q: What can I do about my oily skin?
A: The best thing you can do is hydrate internally and externally. You need to drink more water, and use a proper skincare regimen. You need a gel cleanser, a toner preferably with AHA’s and BHA’s (Environ sold at Estetika has a great Sebutone) to exfoliate the skin, and increase your cell turnover, which cleans out those pores, and keeps dirt, oil, and debris out.
Q: What gets rid of blackheads?
A: A good skincare regimen with AHA’s and BHA’s to again keep your cells turning over, cleans out your pores, exfoliates (gets dead skin cells off), treats your skin to dissolve the dirt, oil, and debris. Consistent (once a month) facials with extractions (pushing out the dirt, oil, and debris from your pores) is highly recommended. We all have blackheads, but oilier skin types are more prone to getting more…more often. We all need a deep exfoliation and extractions once or twice per month. There is also BBL to kill bacteria, even skin tone, and revive your cells that you can do the same day as your facial. Estetika offers a great acne facial w/ BBL treatment that we do often for our patients, along with High Frequency for killing bacteria, cell stimulation, and product absorption.
Q: How can I get smaller pores?
A: As I had stated earlier, we are all predisposed to the size of our pores. BUT, often our pores look significantly larger because there is dirt, oil, and debris inside of them. Think of your stomach when it is full vs. when it is empty. Your stomach will expand and contract with food, and it’s reaction to food, just like your pores will to outside invaders. Protecting and keeping your skin clean with the right skincare regimen for you, hydrating and getting regular facials will significantly help. Fractionated treatments such as Sciton Profractional that Estetika performs, and Microneedling (we perform this also) are more advanced ways of reducing the look of larger pores. These treatments tighten, lift, and firm your skin. They create micro wounds so that your skin starts to rebuild, repair, stimulate collagen and elastin growth. This will keep your skin looking healthier, tighter, brighter, and clearer for a longer period of time.
Q: I want clear skin. What do I do?
A: All of the above. Everyone is on a budget of some kind. Depending on what your budget is, a great treatment plan can be written up for you. I recommend coming to see us if you can. But if you can’t….see a Dermatologist if you are having any hormonal or allergic reactions that are causing the breakouts. Otherwise, consult with a Skincare Expert. They will take a look at your skin, and give you the best plan based upon what you are able to spend. A medical spa is a great place to go because they usually have the treatments or similar treatments to the ones I have indicated prior, and will be able to help your skin the most.
